The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a network of roads, railways and pipelines spanning about 3,000 km It enters Pakistan from Kashgar in the northwestern Chinese region of Xinjiang and joins the Arabian Sea via Gwadar, giving Chinese products access to the Middle East, Africa and beyond. In November 2015, China included C-Pac in its 13th Five-Year Development Plan, while in December 2015, China and Pakistan agreed to invest an additional 1.5 1.5 billion to set up an Information and Technology Park under the project.
