According to the Competition Commission, the Sugar Mills Association and Member Mills were fined for violating Section 4 of the Competition Act, 2010. They have to pay the fine within two months. According to a CCP statement, the agency conducted an investigation against the sugar mills in which the sugar mills were found to have violated the competition laws, sugar mills to set the price of sugar through collusion, illegal utility stores.
